My personal experience testing magnesium? I personally found that pairing Magnesium L-threonate with Quiet Serenity later in the day (and taking Magnesium L-Threonate with breakfast) helps me sleep and manage stress really well.

I find that magnesium citrate or magnesium oxide can be helpful for constipation issues. And that magnesium usually helps people with acid reflux/heartburn issues.
