Silver Fern™ Brand began with our family—and a search for better answers.

When our oldest daughter, Charlie, was 12, she suddenly became very ill with Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS). The condition caused intense, full-body pain and brought her life to a standstill. As her pain increased, her digestive system also began to shut down. She struggled daily with severe bloating and constipation, which only intensified her pain. It became a vicious cycle with no clear solutions.

After extensive testing, including a colonoscopy, we were told she should simply take a daily laxative and she would be “just fine.” That answer didn’t sit right with us. We knew there had to be a better way.

Not long after, Phil was introduced to one of the leading gut microbiologists in the country. What we learned changed everything. We began to understand how foundational gut health is—not just for digestion, but for pain, immunity, and overall health. With his guidance, we focused on restoring Charlie’s gut using probiotics, fiber, and other natural digestive supports. That experience set us on an entirely new path.

Around the same time, Phil was dealing with his own health struggles. Every year, from October through April, colds would escalate into sinus infections, bronchitis, or even pneumonia. As we continued learning about the gut–immune connection, Phil worked to restore his gut health as well. Today, he rarely gets sick.

We also share openly about Tiffany’s journey with Hashimoto’s. Through targeted gut support and consistent use of our formulations, her Hashimoto’s is now in remission—something we once weren’t sure was possible.

The Silver Fern™ Brand Name

The Silver Fern is native to New Zealand and is known for the striking silver-white underside of its fronds. Its elegant shape represents strength, resilience, and enduring power—qualities we want to embody in everything we do.

Because Tiffany’s family is from New Zealand, the Silver Fern felt like the perfect symbol for our company and our roots. Traditionally, Māori hunters and warriors used the fern’s silver underside to help find their way. When the fronds bent over, they would catch the moonlight and softly illuminate a path through the forest.

Today, Silver Fern™ hopes to do the same—helping guide and support you on your own health and wellness journey.
