Too much cortisol? (Weight gain, acne, muscle weakness, irritability, fatigue, high blood pressure, difficulty concentrating, and headaches?) I struggled with this issue too. I am a high stress/anxiety person.
Along with overcoming stomach issues, my high stress/anxiety problem has been a top priority for me to work on (and maybe Tiff's too 😉).
Here is one of my go-to combinations for stress/anxiety:
▪️“Sensoril Ashwagandha is an adaptogen derived from a unique blend of both leaves and roots of the Withania somnifera plant, by a totally aqueous extraction process, to provide optimal efficacy and bioactive diversity. This proprietary extract, with water-solubility more than 95%, has been studied in more than ten randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled human clinical trials. It supports many health benefits, and has excellent applications in supplements, foods, beverages, and personal care products. Sensoril is the trusted and original holistic ashwagandha extract in the market, and is GRAS affirmed, Non-GMO Project Verified, and Organic certified.”
▪️B. longum 1714® is a psychobiotic. “Psychobiotics adjust your intestinal bacteria and research suggests that the right bacteria may help improve cognition, performance and coping skills – influencing your emotions, how you behave and how you react to stress.”
B. longum 1714® “…showed that it increases activity in the areas of your brain that are associated with emotions, learning and memory, and improved coping while under stress.
For me personally, these ingredients took about 6 to 8 weeks at a higher dose (2 capsules per day at 5
pm each day) to notice a calming effect. I combine these with magnesium (either magnesium glycinate or magnesium l-threonate) each day. I find this helps calm me so I can sleep too. This is one way that has worked for me to help reduce my cortisol issues.
